DiscUp

Privacy Policy

Last updated: [FILL IN DATE BEFORE PUBLISHING]

Before you publish: replace every bracketed placeholder below (date, support email, business name). This draft reflects what the DiscUp app actually collects, but it is not legal advice — have it reviewed if DiscUp becomes a commercial product. Delete this box once you've filled everything in.

DiscUp helps people organize and join recurring ultimate frisbee pickup games. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

Account information. When you create an account we store your email address and the display name you choose. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider (Supabase) and stored only as salted hashes — we never see your password.

Content you create. Games you create (title, description, location, city, state, ZIP, schedule, and attendee limits), the games you follow, and the games you sign up to attend.

Device push token. If you allow notifications, we store an Expo push token for your device so we can send game reminders. You can revoke this at any time in your device settings.

What we do not collect

  • We do not collect your device's GPS or precise location. Game locations are text an organizer types in.
  • We do not use advertising identifiers, run ads, or track you across other apps or websites.
  • We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

How we use it

  • To show you games and let you follow and sign up for them.
  • To send push notifications you've opted into: that a game has met its minimum attendance, a reminder before a game starts, and occasional reminders from an organizer to sign up.
  • To keep the service working and secure.

What other users can see

Your display name is visible to other DiscUp users on games you sign up for, so organizers and other players know who's coming. Your email address is never shown to other users.

Who we share it with

We use these third-party services to run the app:

  • Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and server functions. Privacy policy
  • Expo — delivers push notifications to your device. Privacy policy

Your data is stored on servers in the United States. We may disclose information if required by law.

Deleting your account and data

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account in the app. This immediately and irreversibly deletes your profile, any games you created (along with their signups and followers), your signups for other games, and your push tokens.

You may also email us at [YOUR SUPPORT EMAIL] with any questions or requests about your data.

Children

DiscUp is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
